Anand wins re-match against the computer

Anand was able to retain his title in the re-match by winning 2.5-1.5.

The program was running on a server that had six hard disks each running at a speed of 500 MHz.

Anand at the press conference after the match said "The first two games were very difficult, since I did not know what to expect from Fritz™. In fact it was only because I knew how to get Fritz™ into an end game that I was able to save the first game. However, for day two I was able to prepare adequately and the third and fourth games were smooth affairs."

Dortmund will be his last tournament before the big duel between Kasparov and Anand. Regarding the tournament Anand said, "The tournament always holds pleasant memories. I hope to do well".
